We will write a longer review about the property when we return home, but I wanted to give a big thank you to Paola at the front desk. She is a perfect example of excellent customer service. She took care of our airport shuttle mix-up in 5 minutes for us. Paola looked up the number, made the calls, & helped arrange the proper times. (as much as I would have wanted to miss my flight, and stay another week, work calls lol). Thank you to a good ending to a wonderful week here at the resort!
"Wonderful relaxing holiday"
This is a real gem. We had a a delightful one bedroom unit near the pool. The grounds are so pretty and the pool is amazing. The staff could not be nicer. Everyone was just great and it was such a pleasure to stay at Los Cabos Golf Resort. It was our first visit and we look forward to returning. The Chicken Mole, one of the dishes at the Mexican night, was the best I have ever eaten. Also as many people have mentioned the whole resort is spotless.
"Great location, Superior Service, and Spotless!"
Just got back from Los Cabos Golf Resort and can't wait to return. We will make this our "go-to" spot for Cabo! I am extremely picky when it comes to accommodations. Los Cabos Golf Resort surpassed all expectations. First of all, the rooms are spotless. They were spotless when we arrived, and spotless each and every day. The beds are so comfortable I wanted to bring one home with me. Nice linens, nice clean towels, nice pillows. The grounds are impeccable--not a stone out of place. Everyone working was so pleasant it made our vacation that much nicer. From the front desk to the bartenders to the waitstaff, they all worked hard to please--all with a warm greeting and sunny smiles. They knew what we liked on day two--even anticipating when we needed another drink or bottled water. We had breakfast and appetizers at the resort every day--and the food was delicious. While the resort is not right on the beach, you still see the water and enjoy the gentle ocean breeze. A quick 5-minute taxi ride gets you to the beach club where you can enjoy privileges. Being a bit particular, I typically would not have considered a resort in Mexico that was not right on the beach--after visiting Los Cabos Golf Resort, I can honestly say I would choose this location again over any other on the beach. A 5-minute taxi ride to the beach and to town and to great restaurants makes everything easy. In addition, the personal touches by the resort staff make you feel like family. The pool and hot tub are sparkling, just the right temp, and perfect for a sunny day or for enjoying during cocktails and appetizers. We had a group of couples on the trip and every one of us would return here again. There are places to walk, and small fitness room, and easy access to a beautiful golf course. The resort can arrange for spa treatments in your room if you ask, and they will also help you plan your days in Cabo if needed. Don't think twice--this is a fabulous choice!
"Spacious units, amazing service, great pools and golf courses"
We just visited Los Cabos Golf Resort and loved every bit of our stay there. The unit we stayed in was spacious and easily accommodated 4 people. The food was delicious and the restaurant catered to special needs very easily. The front desk people made our stay even better by helping us plan our activities in Cabo (from suggesting authentic local food spots, arranging whale watching and snorkel tours, golf etc.). The best part about the hotel is its proximity to the Marina unlike some of the larger resorts in San Jose Cabo.
"Nice rooms and great golf"
I have traveled to a number of golf courses in Mexico and this is among the best. Wow my friends and I golfed my family went to the beach. I will go back there The staff we're very nice. The air conditioning rattled one day and they came right to the room and fixed it
"A glofers dream come true!"
In September we vacationed to Los Cabos for our 4th time. This time we had a three week stay so I had plenty of time to tour around the city. My wife and I did end up attending a presentation for the Los Cabos Golf Resort and I could not be more happy. While the resort was not on the ocean, it was also not over crowed and a man my age can appreciate that. So that fact along with the free shuttle to the attached golf course made this man a buyer! The GTS package that they put together for me fit our families needs perfectly. It is now late February and I just finished up booking for our next trip with the concierge. Having somebody help you with all the details sure makes things easier. I was also assisted finding the lowest airfare and that makes a big difference when you are flying down the grandkids too. Now all I have to do is show up and get ready to golf! Never owning a time share before I was anxious to see how all this worked, but the GTS service I have received has exceeded my expectations! We even got the room upgrade to accommodate our extended family vacation.
"Greatness"
What a place to be, great atmosphere, great people, and great food. Loved it, everyone there were great, happy and wanted to be there. The weather was perfect. The golf course was very clean and maintained. Would recommend this place to everyone!
"Nice place to relax, golf course on property"
Checked in with friends who own several time shares at this property for a week of sun, and golf. The one bedroom units are large, with an outside deck, nice living room, small kitchen unit, great bedroom space, king size bed, and an ample bathroom, shower only. Golf is not included but it runs about $60.00, depending on time of year. You can eat on property, good food and reasonable prices, they have a great happy hour - two for one drinks about $7.00 I have spoke with a couple of the people around the pool, and you get purchase a week online for as little as $700 to $750 for the week (check eBay) or just search timeshares for rent - maybe even use Vacation Rentals by Owners. There is a Walmart next door for shopping, and a Costco down the road about a mile. Enjoy
"Wonderful Place"
To relax. The weather here is perfect in the First week of May. The room was a time share exchange but they also rent out. Junior Suit has full cooking kitchen, King size Bed and a pull out couch Wi-Fi is free in the common area and works very good. There is a Gym, Restaurant and Bar. They also have spa, Large swimming pool. The property is full of large flowering tress. The birds are colorful. The staff all speak English and are very friendly and helpful. A great place to come to.
"Wasn't prepared for this one !!!"
We booked this as a one week vacation even after having read all the reviews. Also had a back up plan just in case, for another place. We arrived during the Super Bowl party going on in the common area of the grounds, and didn't have anything but wonderful attention to checking into our room. From the moment I opened the door to our suite, I fell in love with the total charm and cleanliness of the place. Had the best sleep ever in the king size bed! The resort fell so quiet every evening that you could go down to the hot tub and be the only ones around to enjoy the warm and totally safe surroundings. The beauty of this place is amazing! We cancelled our other "backup plans" and stayed our entire two week vacation! We also got the chance to move upstairs to another suite which was even more beautiful as our private patio overlooked the garden. We enjoyed having a rental car and our accessibility to Walmart and Costco for food and beverages to stock up our kitchenette. Having a light breakfast and occasional lunch or supper in our suite helped our budget greatly and it was fun to open a bottle of wine and dine on our own patio while taking in the beauty of the well kept gardens. We didn't golf but did go for long walks in the morning, always taking our camera with us. It is a well maintained course and there was no smell what so ever around the water features as other people had mentioned prior to our trip. We also tried many restaurants both in Cabo and San Jose, all of which were pretty amazing. We went exploring everyday and heard so many times how people came and ended up staying here permanently and I can see why after our experience in this amazing area. We felt very safe unlike some of the mainland parts of Mexico. Our only change would be a stop to the constant sales pitch downtown marina area. I hear that is a constant complaint and really if you're pleasant but firm, they don't pressure you too badly. We did take in 3 presentations (even though we were prepared not to) I guess it may seem like a hassle but all three were pretty good and we really took advantage of being a team and sticking to our story and actually got really great rewards, like golfing at Diamante (rated 58 in the world) (Awesome!) and getting our rental car much cheaper and a wonderful dinner cruise. If you don't have the ability to say No and have a limited time to enjoy Cabo, I wouldn't bother either, but we had lots of time and now know what to avoid next visit. Came back from our vacation very relaxed and plan on returning very soon.
"Nice resort"
OK folks...I too bought a Groupon to stay at this resort. Read some reviews ahead of time and was prepared for a mediocre experience...but NOT SO! The resort was very clean, the grounds we're immaculate and the 50 (?) room property had a great tranquility to it, No, it isn't on the beach but the pool area and adjacent golf course were beautiful. The rooms were clean and decent sized too with a little mini-kitchen and fridge in each along with a nice covered outdoor seating area. For the cost of a single night at a resort like Capella, we stayed at this resort for 4 nights and played two rounds of golf. There was no full-court press on timeshare stuff that I could feel, and the staff was attentive enough for my taste. We had rented a car (knowing that we'd need to drive to town/beach/Todos Santos/etc) and that worked out just fine. Suggest Avis for those renting. I'll go back, probably for a guy's golf trip at some point.
"very nice familiar place"
very comfortable, clean and spacious rooms in the style country, Nice and friendly service. Try to have upstair rooms that have some mroe light and air. Close to the Medano beach, where you can go being able to retreat from the nose and commercial sollicitation at your will, and close to Los Cabos where we went often at night for dinner. People who like Golf will find practicing this sport very handy.
"Authentic Mexican Rooms"
We purchased a groupon to stay at this resort. It was very enjoyable and I would definitely go back. The concierge was awesome and much more helpful than the front desk. The rooms were very clean and very mexico. Has a great pool that has benches built in that you can lay in the water and get the great sun rays. You can also walk down some stairs to a very romantic quaint area that has trees benches and a hot tub. Feels very tropical and romantic. There is also a tv room down there. Included in our package was golf (I do not golf) so my husband went and had a great time. He says it was very spread out with water and he would golf there again. I am looking forward to returning some time to this resorrt.
"Girls Trip extrodinaire"
This trip was booked as a timeshare exchange for a group of 6 ladies. We were asked once to attend timeshare presentation, said no and they left it at that, we were never hounded. The accommodations were superb. The pool excellent, great food and drink prices. Excellent value included golf, food and drinks. Due to construction on many of the local roads walking was out of the question. Any issues we reported were immediately rectified. We had no problems with cleanliness or theft. Suggest bringing majority of pesos and use this currency. Venues do accept US $ but not sure if exchange is accurate. Also, many venues do not accept credit card (or maybe any) unless bill is at their specified minimum. Also, let credit card know you are travelling as some PIN pads would reject card. Booked a catamaran trip while over at the wal-mart, booth in the pedway area, and thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
"The perfect Cabo Resort if you want low key!"
We just loved this resort! We visit different parts of Mexico approximately 4 times a year. At different times we are looking for different atmospheres. We wanted relaxing this particular time and that it was! There was none of the loud pool bar music & games. It was very nice, calm, great service, and great food! If you want a beach at resort this isn't your place. Other than that it is absolutely an amazing resort!!
"Peaceful!"
We found this resort very peaceful and the staff very helpful & friendly. The room and grounds were spotless even though a hurricane went past the day after we arrived! The food was excellent. Nice & close to town as well. We're going back as soon as possible.
"Beautiful, relaxing and friendly place"
Have come here about 10 times in the past 12 years. The golf course is in the best shape we have seen it and fees are very reasonable. Their beverage cart lady, Marta, makes the best Bloody Marys in Cabo! You can buy a meal ticket at the golf course that includes 3 beverages and a light lunch for only $13 US. We always come in September or October so it is fairly low occupancy with plenty of room in the pools. The late afternoon Happy Hour (2x1) at the pool bar is great fun after a morning of golf, lunch and nap. Rooms are spacious including kitchens that have everything you need, although there are several different sizes of rooms and we get one of the Luxury Suites. I think if we got an 'Executive' it would be a little cramped. 'Diplomats' and 'Junior Suites' look very nice for the price. The beds and pillows are comfortable which is very important for us. The TV had a good selection of US sporting events which is important to one of us! And did I mention the service? The employees are mostly the same people year after year which must speak well for management. Most speak very good English and they are all very friendly and happy to see you. The grounds at this time of year are absolutely beautiful with lots of plants in bloom. It is not on the beach, which is fine with us - I get tired of people always trying to sell you something there! And there is a security entrance which makes us feel very safe. I already look forward to coming back next year!
"Very well presented, quiet and affordable resort"
We only spent one night in this resort, but were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived: the resort is very well presented, and our room/apartment was very spacious, spotless and quiet, which made Los Cabos Golf Resort one of the best value hotels we stayed in during our five weeks in Mexico.
"Great, Quiet Vacation Spot!"
I rented two condos during the first week of July 2012. My son and I had a second floor condo and my mom and aunt were in the condo directly beneath us. This was my third trip to Cabo and my first time staying at Los Cabos Golf Resort. The resort grounds and condo were very nice. Our rooms had double beds, a very large shower/bathroom, an adequate kitchen (sink was very small, but had a microwave, cook top, small fridge and all utensils/cookware) and a nice balcony where we ate breakfast every morning. The resort has a really nice pool area with swim up bar and a putting green next to it. There's an underground lounge area and gameroom. Overall, we were very impressed. The staff was unexpectedly gracious. I was 7 months pregnant and they took extra care of me. They also have laundry facilities onsite. The location for me was ideal. Its fairly close to the action/beach (about 3-5 minute car ride), but gated and secluded to provide that nice privacy and relaxation (no beach solicitors!!). The only real drawback to this place is that the free wifi is only available in the pool/lounge/restaurant/lobby area. Its not a big deal, as that was only steps from our room.
"Beautiful and Quiet Golf Resort"
We love Los Cabos Golf and Country Club! Beautiful Spanish Style Villas including a large fully equipped kitchen, large bathrooms, large patio, comfortable furniture with no cutting corners of amenities provided. The pool is delightful and the restaurant/bar is very tasty and affordable too. Grocery shopping is within walking distance if you need/want to purchase anything for cooking/mixing drinks or anything else such as flip flops, sunscreen, contact solution, etc (almost anything!). Short cab rides to town with No Taxi wait at this resort - they're very quick. If you have a large party - there are nice private party areas where you can gather and enjoy drinks/appetizers on a roof top deck area. There is one night a week (typically Tuesdays) where you get free margaritas and chips/salsa for a couple of hours and live local entertainment is provided. They were fantastic! Thanks!
