My family spent last week at the Occidental Grand Punta Cana. Great time!!! Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. Mila from First Club was amazing!!! Hotel has it all!! Best food, nightly entertainment(mostly in Spanish), great beaches, lots of swimming pools.

"Honeymoon"
I would totally recommended this resort, the service was excellent. The reception helped us out with our rooms to accommodate my family, my husband and I. Also the food was wonderful starting from american, Dominican and Mexican. Everyone around the resort was sweet and helpful. I would come back once again to this amazing resort!
"Amazing vacation"
I have stayed at many resorts in Punta cana and my experience here was one of my best. I loved the exclusive beach sectioned off for transat holiday travellers and especially the service and bar tender that catared only to us. It was fast and always made sure we had a drink in our hand right from our beach chairs serving us. Franklin, our bartender, made the experience a very enjoyable and definitely one I would return for. Great vacation and would definitely recommend this hotel for food, experience and if given the opportunity definitely travel with transat vacations to ensure this service and inclusive beach.
"A Grand Time at the Occidental Grand"
Great Beach, Delicious Food - especially the Steak House and the Oriental Restaurant. Entertaining Shows every night. The day trip to La Isla Saona was fun as well. Watching the World Cup Soccer Matches at the Sports Bar was exciting too: especially when all the Columbians got together to cheer their team on when they played their match against Brazil. The staff was friendly and funny. My wife and I had a relaxing & romantic couples massage/scrub/sauna/Jacuzzi session at the Spa in the resort and really enjoyed it. The buffet food was very tasty as well: with a wide variety of dishes.

There is no complain at all. Nice vacation. Specially the guy on the beach called Franklin who served us professionally and with passion. Beach was nice, food, room service. In one word almost everything was perfect.

Occidental Resort in Punta Cana, D.R. Is an exciting place to visit. It's all inclusive, so you can eat and drink all day and night, if you like! I visited the Resort alone and had a great time enjoying all the activities. A live show each evening, a small casino, 9 restaurants, everything you could want in a beautiful beach! I felt safe. The staff was amazing. The food was great! I visited the beautiful Spa on two occasions during the week and was very pleased with the services offered.

Loved the resort. The beach is beautiful. Food is descent. We loved our bartender Franklin who worked in the Private Air Transant beach area he made our stay very enjoyable, made sure our drinks were always replenished, made us laugh truly made us feel very welcome.

There's not much more to say about this hotel that I haven't said in my other 4 reviews(please go read them). I simply love this resort. The atmosphere and the people is what keeps bringing me back. Not to mention, I'm treated like part of the family. This time I traveled Memorial Day Weekend. Now I must say, although I love this resort, this was probably not the best weekend for me to travel to Occidental. It was crowded and way too many people. There were hundreds and hundreds of people from the US that were part of a group event and they pretty much took over the hotel. Not that it was bad, because truth be told I attended some of the event like the pool party...lol! There weren't any problems, it just felt like I was in Miami or California and not Dominican Republic. Especially in the clubs. Still I had a great time and met some great people, but I don't think I will travel here on Memorial Day weekend again. Also my room was great and the food was delicious. You have to try the pizzeria upstairs. I'll see yall again in August! Some of you readers meet me out there...lol!
"The best vacations/honeymoon"
We past our honeymoon here and was amazing! Great food, great room conditions, beautiful pool, Mangu night club with excellent music and overall great Costumer Services, specially from Lenni, Jhonna and Marcos from Front Desk and Johanna for our honeymoon room attentions courtesy from the hotel.
Is a good choice, lovely beach, good drinks and fun staff.

I went there for my vacations great vacations. The food was good and the workers are very nice people all of them
The best part was all the fun we have there ,there were a lot of activities we enjoyed,so I would like to congratulate the fun club for that,there were so many activities at the beach all time day and night,there were activities at the lobby and the show was really excellent!!!! There were so many activities for the kids ,so as I said before that was the best part ,when you go on vacations that is mainly waht you need to have fun ,to be entertained alla the time and in this they got five stars

Best food, nightly entertainment(mostly in Spanish), great beaches, lots of swimming pools. Luis "LA" from Seapro Divers was like part of the family. Very helpful, funny, knowledgeable and speaks good English. Kids loved him! Kids enjoyed parasailing and the banana boat ride. Mila and LA will be part of our wonderful memories of our Summer 2014 trip to Punta Cana. Hope to get back to soon!!! Peace and love.

I came to punta Cana with my mom and could not have had a better time! The BEACH is UNREAL! Gorgeous and super long, so you can walk for hours. The service is amazing, everyone is friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. Franklin at the beach bar was the best! Always bringing drinks without us even having to get up. The food is also wonderful, even though my mom has dietary restrictions, there was always lots she could eat. The fruit could not have been better. The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. I would definitely come back here and suggest it to everyone!

I've been in hotels many times before, including a few "all-inclusive" but this one it's been the best by far. As soon as u get into the lobby ppl from reception welcome you with a huge smile and a sincere desire of helping you with anything you need. I wanna thank to my fav ppl back therr at the front desk: Marcelo, Marcos and Wilkins they are the best. Since the very beginning they treat my whole gruop as part of their own family.
Food was great, lot of variety, Las Brasas the Steak house was my favorite. The beach is clean and perfect to get ur tan.
My room was amazing, I had an Ocean View. .. but what a view!!!! I could literally smell the ocean from my balcony.

Loved the beach and the exceptional service from our preference club employees Franklin, Jose and Juan! The best ones there! Late night food was delicious, entertainment was good and lots of activites and things to do, would visit again for sure!

Beach was beautiful and wavy. Trip central preference club was amazing, including a special area on the beach with a bar and drink service. Franklin and Hose at the beach preference bar were outstanding ! Rooms were clean a little out dates but that did not bother us. Good variety of food. A la cartes were all good, Italian al la carte was under renovations so we could not try it. Mexican was our favorite. Great late night food including tacos till 12 and stone oven pizza till 530 a.m. Staff were all friendly. Overall great trip!

My experience at the Occidental Grand has exceeded all expectations. I have travelled the world and stayed at both high and low end resorts and must say that this place is one of the best. Clean rooms and impeccable grounds. Fantastic restaurants for all tastes buds. Its has one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches around. But the best part has to be the absolute top notch service from the wonderful staff. Franklin and Jose at the Transat beach will take care of your every need with the biggest genuine smile. Joanna at guest services was truly the sweetest and most helpful since our arrival. And all the rest of the staff no matter where you go were class acts. Definitely will return. Be sure to tip the staff well. They deserve it.

Service was wonderful and and the beaches and pools were gorgeous would recommend to my friends and will return for another trip with my family for an extended stay next time! The best server we had was Franklin at the beach he was extremely helpful and was excited to see us everyday and always greeted us with drinks as we arrived

Every aspect is great! The beach is breathtaking. Make sure to visit Franklin at the air transat private beach area. He mixes the drinks I like to my preference and is very friendly! I will definitely come back for a second time!

This has been the best resort in Punta Cana I have ever been to. Franklin is the best bartender, he is your go to guy. He makes the best drinks, he always knows your drinks and has them ready. Definately look for him when you go on the beach.
