Recently returned from Greensprings Plantation in Williamsburg, Va., and what a beautiful resort. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. There is a fire place and a comfortably sized terrace.We had a 2 bedroom unit which offered all the amenities of home. The resort is ideally located next to shopping centers and is a short trip away from Colonial Williamsburg, Great place to bring the family!

Rwo Bedroom Condo includes Free Parking 1200 square feet, these units offer one king size bed in the bedroom and a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room. The second bedroom has either a queen bed or two twin beds. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchen; two full baths with a jet tub in master bath, and a patio or balcony. All units have two cable TVs, with VCR, and washer/dryer in each unit.

"Great place to stay"
This resort is exceptional. This is a great place to stay in the winter or summer. The pool area was very intertwining. The rooms were very clean and welcoming. This would be a great place to visit with family and friends. The unit we stayed in was 2 bed and 2 bath. The one bathroom had a jacuzzi tub. The washer and drier are a little small.
"Very nice for the price"
At Greensprings me and my friends received really good service. Their customer service is outstanding. We traveled during busy season and even so they managed to immediately switch us to a more appropriate unit as there was a mistake when we arrived. The units are fully equiped. You need to bring zero. they have fully equiped kitchens and the units are super spacious and comfortable. Beds are really comfortable and the location is extremely convenient. Really close to all main attractions in the Williamsburg area. I definitelly recommend this place.
"Great trip, as always...."
My family of 6 travels often, and always stays at a Diamond resort, after a bad experience at Powhatan we gave Greensprings a try. We loves it, in the past 2 months we have stayed at this resort 3 times and each time we were lucky enough to encounter Cheryl. This is my first review and it's all due to the front desk, in particular Cheryl. She was courteous, friendly and helpful. First, we had explained we had troubles with cell phone reception on our last trip, she went out of her way to make sure we didn't have the same problem and called, after check in, to our unit to make sure we didn't have a problem this time. She heard me saying it was my wedding anniversary and had a beautiful basket sent to my unit while I was out to dinner. She also recommended different places to visit. It's little touches like this that mean so much and keep my family and I coming back. The unit was beautiful, quiet, and clean! When i checked out, yet again Cheryl was there and asked how my anniversary was and how we enjoyed ourselves! We hope to be back again soon and encounter Cheryl again on a future trip!
"Family friendly vacation"
Although my husband and I are retired and had no children along with us, the resort had lots of children staying. since there was so much to do and so much green space, they were always having fun. lots of activities....rooms were spotlessly clean! beds comfortable but the decor needs a little upgrade....I heard they were in the process of renovating. The only resteraunt was a snack shop but there is a full kitchen in the unit and restaurants and stores close by
"Good for the Price"
We stayed several days at this resort while we were visiting Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown. The suite was okay, although it was not as nice as it should have been since they were trying to sell us on the idea of a long-term vacation package. We liked having a lot of extra room, a full-sized kitchen, and a washer/dryer combination. I did not like having to pay $6.95 a day for wifi access, however. The presentation we had to sit through in order to get a low rate for the room was pleasant enough, but we've done this before so it was easy enough to say no at the end of it.
"Greensprings Vacation Resort"
Our group of 10 girlfriends enjoyed two condos side-by-side for a week. They met our requests to be on the ground floor, near each other, in renovated or refurbished units, and we were quite pleased. Our units were very large with nice kitchens and lovely furnishings.
"9 year old twins and the adults loved it!"
Just back from a week in Williamsburg and we were so happy to have the wonderful condo to come back to. The kids loved the indoor pool. Having a kitchen and tvs and dvd players was great for evening. It was well appointed and quiet. They also loved the playgrounds and mini golf. Evenyone on the staff was so nice to us. Highly recommend Greensprings for families.
"Fabulous place"
Great place to visit and stay for a few days. Diamond Resorts staff were very helpful with suggestions on what to see and do. Condo was very nice. Two bedroom wish I could have brought my family. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. History of Williamsburg was very interesting thoroughly enjoyed it. Weather could have been better as we would have like to use the pool are of the resort. Will be back again for sure.
"Wonderful vacation"
We traveled to Williamsburg to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. Greensprings is part of our Time Share properties. I felt that this was a great location, very accessible to grocery, shopping as well as restaurants. Very near all of the sites that Williamsburg has to offer. The property was well maintained, the units themselves are very clean, although a little dated. The management sent a gift of goodies to our room for my husbands birthday. Very nice gesture! Only in the South what fine manners they have. I would go back again, if given an opportunity. Great Staff!!!!
"Great place for family get-together"
We just got back from a week at Greensprings Plantation. My brother got us each a 2 BR unit that were connected by a private hall. We were on the first floor. No elevators and most buildings have 3 floors. The units were large. The master BR had a very comfortable king bed and private bath with a shower and bathtub that had jets and double sinks. The second BR had twin beds and the bathroom was in the hall. The shower was with the tub and it had one sink. The towels were nice and thick and there were plenty. We always had plenty of hot water. Air condition and heat worked fine. Both BR's had a TV. There was a washer and dryer The furniture looked pretty and was newer as were the rugs and curtains. The curtains had nice black out curtains behind them which was very nice. The kitchen had everything we needed for a weeks stay. The outside patio was large and had a table and four chairs. It overlooked trees and a golf course. We did see deer out back. The grounds around the buildings were kept up very nice. Nothing seemed jammed together. I used the inside pool for laps several times. Didn't use the outside pool as it wasn't heated. We were only left 1 pack of dishwasher soap and no dish soap. I called and immediately they sent up these items. Everyone is very pleasant and we had a lovely week. I think this is a beautiful place and would stay again. Don't hesitate to come here. They try to make everything nice. My sister-in-law needed bars for the shower and they immediately sent some portable ones up. It is close to everything. You have to check in whenever you enter (24 hours) and I saw security driving around which made us feel they want to keep this area safe and just for the guests. I believe Diamond wants to please their guests and are doing a great job. We would return in a heart beat.
"Greensprings Plantation excellent place for a vacation."
This is the 2nd year we have stayed at Greensprings. The resort is well kept and a great location. This last visit we had 2 2 bedroom units adjacent to each other. Plenty of room for 8 people, each getting their own bedroom. Also getting 2 full kitchens, 4 bathrooms and 2 living rooms. Also can't forget 2 washer and dryers!! The units are very clean and well kept. Plenty of kitchen supplies if needed. We asked for extra towels when we got there and they have 2 full sets of everything for the rooms, including sheets. Anything you want , they will bring. Pool area is very nice. Lots of lounges and table and chairs with umbrella. They have a little snack area that also sells some alcohol. Location is maybe 10 minutes from both Busch Garden and the Water Country. There are lots of restaurants within 10-15 minute ride and not once did we pick one that was not good. We would definitely go back again.
"Fantastic holiday!"
We had a great stay at this resort. Loved the location; so convenient for all the things that spew wanted to see: Colonial Williamsburg, Historic Jamestown, Virginia Beach, James River National Park.. Great for shopping, too, with the supermarket a couple of miles away and the outlet shopping centre a short drive. We appreciated the pool, loved the size of the accomodation; much bigger than my first flat, for example! As an English family we were not approached by anyone regarding timeshare - sensible as we would be unlikely to return to the same place year after year. Some have mentioned the need for a room update but I think that we had a pre-updated room and had no issues with it whatsoever. Loved the balcony and all the insect/ frog noises - makes you feel that you really are away from home! Kitchen needed a few more utensils to make cooking / stirring easy but, other than that, we would have absolutely no complaints at all. Loved every minute!
"Great place for Willamsburg vacation"
Spent a week in the last week of August in a 2 bedroom condo. I was concerned when booking because of some of the reviews but the front desk staff Ryan and Cheryl were fabulous. I can't say enough nice things about them. They assured me We would love the room and the resort. We checked in quickly and we went straight to Busch gardens. The condo was well appointed and appeared to be newly renovated with new cuisinart appliances to boot. We were on the top floor and no elevators so if you have lots of things or don't like stairs go for a first or second floor unit. The property was nice with a good sized outdoor pool and indoor pool while our unit was down by the guard house it was nice and quiet. The boys used the tennis courts and fitness centre which had top notch equipment. There is a basketball court mini golf and ping pong table as well. We didn't do the resort activities since we were at Busch Gardens and Water Country USA each day. It is a Diamond timeshare resort so you will be asked to book a appointment but they weren't pushy when we checked in. Loved the place and again can't say enough about Ryan and Cheyl as well as all the staff.
"So much fun!!"
My family and I go every year, and we always have a great time. Everything you need is right here. Pools, golf, playground, basketball, mini golf, and more. Our unit has two large bedrooms, two bathrooms, livingroom, dining area, and full kitchen, There is also a patio, or deck, plus washer and dryer. There are grills if you want to bbq and a gazebo with swing. (nice for sitting with your sweetie while looking at the stars!) They really try hard to make everything fun and there are alot of activities, like water arobics, movies by the pool and they had a DJ come and play music by the pool and bingo with prizes and dance contests. Everyone was joining in and cheering the kareoke singers!! You can rent movies and games too. They think of everything. We needed extra towels, tissue and blankets and they were also brought right away. I would love to see another pool, maybe with a slide or diving board, and our unit didnt have the blackout curtains like some of the more updated units, so the sun woke us up everyday at 7am, but we had the best time, like we do every year!!
"Great place for a family vacation"
I stayed at this resort 13 years ago, it was really nice then, new and well kept. I must say 13 years later it was just as nice, a little worn with the carpet, but clean and family room furniture could be updated, but nothing you couldn't live with for 7-days. My family of four stayed comfortably in the spacious unit overlooking the pond. Coffee maker was a potless maker with a timer, very nice. Resort could have included more than one dishwasher package, like most other resorts that provides at least 5-6 packages, no big deal, I brought some extras with me. We do plan to visit again!. My husband and I did attend the timeshare presentation for RCI members/owners. We had a fabulous Salesperson, Shaun. Great personality, funny with a sense of humor, but serious and committed to his job, informative, not pushy, honest and had patience with us. We really like the revamping of timeshare exchange program which Diamond International has setup, we were so close to buying again because of the benefits and the added lifestyle opportunities that would be available, but due to our financial obligations timing was not feasible;however it is our goal to purchase at a later date. Diamond stay true to your marketing plan so that owners have easier flexibility for exchanges, no additional exchange/search fees and access to The Club, benefits we are very interested in having available to us.

The kids enjoyed checking out games from the activity center, ping pong, basketball, miniature golf, and of course the pool. We have stayed here several times beginning about 10 years ago. I must say that we found the staff extremely helpful, friendly and professional! We will return on our next visit to Williamsburg.

"Great place to stay!!"
We spent 3 nights at the Greensprings Plantation. We had a 2 bedroom unit with a pull out bed...full kitchen, washer and dryer. They had two pools, mini golf, dvd rentals, activties throughout the day for the kids, a sand volleyball court and much more. The unit was older, but it was clean. Getting extra towels and dishwashing soap was not a problem. I actually called them ahead of time b/c I had read some reviews about them being pushy as far as wanting to show you their timeshare, etc. The man at the concierge desk assured me that if I said no to a tour that that would not be an issue at all. Not only was it not an issue, but we weren't even asked to take a tour. Although I did indeed write down the man's name in case I ran into any problems!! I got our tickets to Colonial Williamsburg AND Jamestown at the resort and saved about $5/ticket getting them at the resort vs. getting them at the ticket counter. It is centrally located. We also did Jamestown and toured the Shirley Plantation....the longest trip was to the plantation, and I think that was like 45 minutes away. We'd stay here again, for sure.
"Great family meeting place"
We had a family reunion, 4 generations, a total of 12 people stayed in 3 units. (Included 2 babies under a year old). We had a severe summer storm while we were there and the staff at the pool kept us fully informed regarding the approaching storm so we could avoid getting caught. Also we had a power outage that lasted for about 5 hours. These were not the most pleasant of vacation situations, but in all cases everything was handled in an efficient manner.
"Great Place"
My family and I just got back from Greensprings Plantation. It was perfect for my family of five. When we arrived we were greeted graciously by the front desk, and the concierge serves was awesome. We were greeted with a welcome packet with directions and phone numbers to local attractions and stores. I have stayed in alot of resorts and hotels, but this was one of the best. The condo was very spacious and clean. The appliances were well kept. My wife wanted the water temperature turned up and they came right over. The kids I traveled with were 12, 10, & 5 and they thoroughly enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools. I am definitely looking forward to going back and staying there again.
