"Nice Stay at Econo Lodge Riverside"
First time stay at this hotel and we were not disappointed. Spent a couple night here this week and will be back. The rooms were clean and bed were comfortable. Customer service was super. Free wifi, but signal was a little weak sometimes. Great location and we loved the hotel being right on the river. My wife feed the ducks and geese numerous times as we strolled on the nicely landscape walkway. Free breakfast was good. Plenty of parking spaces. Pool was a little small also, but no big deal for us, as we didn't use it. Overall great stay and will be back.
"Great place to stay!"
My husband and I stayed the weekend at Econolodge Riverside and were very pleased with our visit. From the time we checked in until we checked out at the end of the weekend, we felt right at home. The bed was very spacious and comfortable while the rooms were quiet. We requested an interior room next to the pool and hot tub. I thought it might be loud after checking in, but we were pleasantly surprised. We only ate the breakfast on one morning, but it was hot and fresh and there were plenty of tables . This was great since the breakfast area is always busy. I loved the river in the back of the hotel with all the ducks and geese. There were even fire pits back there to enjoy by the river. We were hesitant to stay because of the mixed reviews, but this hotel was a steal. I would definitely stay again!
"These folks know crowd control"
Three nights here and every one was great. What was most impressive was the way the breakfast people had it so together with feeding a full hotel every day we were there. Their facility was a bit cramped but cozy. The food never ran out. Love the stream and the ducks. Room and room service was excellent. All staff friendly and helpful and attentive. Not the typical Econo Lodge budget feel, if you know what I mean.
"Quick vacation with 12 yo twin grandsons"
We couldn't have timed our choice of days more badly, because it was below freezing the entire time we were in Pigeon Forge. Forturnately I did research the properties and this one with the inside pool was well rated. I was able to score a poolside room and it was great for the boys.
The only problem with this property (and most other resort properties) is how all of the rooms become magically available at 4:00 PM, requiring us to find a way to kill time with two kids for several hours. I wish they were more honest and release rooms as they are ready.
"Spring Break fun!"
We went the last week for spring break. We had a room facing the road. I ran the fan in the room and slept all night with no disturbances. There was a couple stains on the carpet but overall clean and comfortable.
We loved the walk out back along the water and the boys loved feeding the geese and ducks corn from the 25cent feeder. The gas fire pit was cool too!
We ate breakfast all three mornings, we went down and ate before 8:30am and it wasn't too bad but after that it got crowded. The hot breakfast was decent.
The indoor pool was small and crowded in the evenings. We went a couple mornings and it was great.
This hotel is located on the strip and not too far to anything. The traffic is always congested in the area. There are a couple restaurants within walking distance and a CVS across the street.
"Getaway With Friends."
Came up with BFF's.
We got 2 rooms in the courtyard side.
Rooms were clean, staff was so helpful. They have a River Walk & fire pit. What a great way to end a day at the fire pit.
We" LL definitely stay here again & recommend it to friends.
"Nice stay"
We came to town for a Car Show. Hotel was in a decent location. Would liked for it to have access to a red light so we wouldn't have to fight to get in and out of parking lot. Other than that it was a great stay. Rooms were clean, comfortable beds, hot water. The pool was constantly crowded but I think that was due to the time of year. There is a beautiful river behind the hotel and geese that you can feed. The hot breakfast was good, had eggs, sausage, biscuit, Gravy and the usual continental breakfast. The coffee in lobby was great which is unusual for a hotel. Will definitely consider staying again.
"Very Nice Hotel!"
We stayed here our second night and wish I had stayed both nights here. Staff very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. Beds were awesome and warm! Pool very nice and warm and hottub was ok. Could use some work on the jets but was relaxing. Can't believe what a difference between hotels. This hotels pictures on line were spot on and look just like the hotel. Breakfast was awesome and lots to choose from. Very relaxing place with the river out back where you could feed the geese. Very relaxing courtyard also. Will stay here again!
"Great location, nice place!"
We came through while traveling, no reservation, got a room on the Riverside. Indoor pool, hot breakfast bar, clean room, riverside walkway with a picnic shelter and a gas fire pit at night. Good great. Great price for the area!
"Excellent!"
I have stayed in several places in Pigeon Forge and this is on the top with my previous favorite! I asked ahead for 2 rooms that connect and they did that! 3rd floor, back side facing the river. Loved it!
We were 364 and 362 incase anyone needs connecting rooms. The rooms are clean, beds so comfy and spacious.
Pool was over crowded but this isn't the hotels fault so no complaints there.
Breakfast was okay. Waffles were like cardboard but the french toast was good, just ask someone to heat them for you. Eggs were great and yogurt was fresh.
Parking was a little difficult the later it got.
Loved the fire and picnic areas outside.
This will be our go to when we bring more than My fiancee and I!! Loved it.
"Getaway"
Great hotel been few years since i stayed here they do great job keeping this place up nice clean updated rooms comfortable beds great indoor pool ,decent breakfast selection convenient location ,definitely recommend and will be back.
"Outstanding !!!"
This is by far the best choice hotel I have stayed in!! Clean and comfy! Great staff especially (Laura and maintenance man), outstanding breakfast, good location and outdoor setting on the river. Nice clean indoor pool and hot tub.
"Nice and quiet"
I have stayed here many times and it's always good. The river behind the hotel is wonderful with bubbling waters and ducks to feed. They have added a fire pit for night fires and a gazebo for picnics. The breakfast has expanded to include hot items such as biscuits & gravy, waffles and French toast. Pool area is indoors so swimming year round. A nice place to stay.
"Wonderful place to stay in Pigeon Forge"
I went on a trip with my mom and a friend and I wasn't sure exactly where to stay in Pigeon Forge. I found this Econo Lodge online and it looked promising. I was not disappointed. Not only was it close to everything that we wanted to do, it was exactly as advertised. We stayed in the backside over looking the river and it was beautiful. They also have a picnic area in the back. You are able to feed the ducks or just sit by the river. The room was clean and with a lot of counter space. They had a microwave and refrigerator so we were able to save our left overs and have a cold drink after our outings for the day. The hotel staff was extremely friendly, and quick when we checked in. The breakfast room is downstairs and they have a lot of food. Everything from cold and hot cereal to hot food and coffee. It was a really nice breakfast. The pool is in the center of the hotel indoors and they also have a hot tub there. We took advantage of both. The pool area is a little noisy so I would recommend a room outside if you want quiet. The only think we didn't like in the rooms is that the tub sits a little bit high which is harder for older folks to get into. I will ask for a handicapped room the next time. This is definitely going to be our place to stay while we are in the Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge area. You can't beat it for the price. I have recommended this to several friends with kids and they have a loved it.
"Perfect Getaway"
We rented this room on a spontaneous "weekend" getaway. The room was clean and well worth the money. I didn't swim in the pool but it looked amazing and there were families in it. The hot breakfast was also very good, will definitely book again.
"Valentine's Week Trip"
My wife and I took a fantastic trip to Pigeon Forge. When we finally go to the hotel and headed to our room, it had not been cleaned, sheets were on the floor and there was trash on the table. I went back to the front desk and told one of the managers, what had happened. They up-graded our room,to river front at no extra charge. The hotel is fantastic and we highly recommend it to everyone.
"Awesome place"
Awesome hotel especially for the rates. We've stayed on two separate occasions now for multiple days each visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The river/pavilion area in back is great to sit around and relax and feed the ducks and geese if you like.
"The staff is what makes this Econo Lodge worth every penny"
From the time we entered until we left three days later, the staff made this a 9 out of 10 star (if possible) hotel. The breakfast was one of the best in the Comfort Suites chain and we could not think of anywhere else to stay in the downtown area of Pigeon Forge. David Rose should be commended as he knows customer service and makes your stay so pleasant.
Very clean facilities to the point that we say a staff person literally spraying the plants inside and taking a cloth to make sure they we clean and shiny.
Just wish every Comfort Suites facility could be like the Econo Lodge Riverside with an economic cost also.
"Great Rooms and Delicious Breakfast!"
My husband found this hotel on Expedia.com. Honestly, I was not expecting this hotel to be that great due to reviews that we read online. However, when we got there, the rooms actually looked pretty nice! Very clean! Had a little kitchenette, table, closets, and nice bathroom. Honestly, I wish the rooms had been just a little bit bigger. The indoor pool was very nice and clean. The complimentary breakfast was delicious! My husband and I ate there every morning. I know that they have certain family suites and bigger rooms, but I am not sure if this would be the place to stay for big families or parties. But if I would definitely check it out if you had a big family or party. We would stay here again! We enjoyed it!
"Wonderful stay!"
Excellent front desk service and clean, comfortable accommodations and the free breakfast is heavenly!! Those ladies keep the food fresh, hot, and delicious. Especially the biscuits and gravy. No need to go out for an expensive breakfast. Plus the breakfast room is quite spacious, almost like a cafe or small restaurant so you have plenty of room to sit and eat comfortably. Great experience all the way around!
"A nice getaway with a great price!"
We wanted to take a long weekend in gatlinburg but we are always looking for a good deal. We read great reviews on this location and decided to give it a try. We wouldn't be more happy. To cover a few things:
-Staff was wonderful. We didn't meet a staff member who wasn't friendly and helpful.
-Cleanliness was great! Our room was nice and smelled great when we arrived. All the amenities like the pool/gameroom/laundry/breakfast area were all in very clean condition.
-Surrounding area was ideal. It was easy to get on and off the highway. We actually walked to Magiquest down the strett as well as some other stores. They also have a nice area behind the hotel overlooking the river with a nice pavilion and firepit, picnic tables, duck feeding machines that are .25 and lots of ducks to feed and entertain you.
